2025 Letterpress Desk Calendar
Every October for the past 49 years, the Redwood Chappel Organization of Letterpress Printers collaborates on a specially printed calendar. Each page is designed and printed “without any driving of the pen” by individuals at different letterpress locales across Humboldt County and the Pacific Northwest. Every year, the different groups get assigned a particular month which they are responsible for. Along with the designated month, each year has a different theme as well, which each organization is free to interpret - this year’s theme is “Limericks and Rhymes”.
These desk calendars are a fun way to keep track of the days going by, while also sparking the imagination as you can feel the indentations of where each letter or picture has been stamped.
Blue Ox volunteer Nanette Corley was tasked with creating the July page for this year’s calendar - featuring a poem Eric wrote specially for this production.
The Blue Ox has only received 25 copies of this year’s calendar, so get yours before they sell out!
